I just don't think you can argue with 1970 as the pinnacle of production for the boys. Sure, I prefer the high octane energy of 68 most days (to coin an Arb phrase from way back), and I know many here prefer the refined sounds of the mature Keith era (73-77), but when you stack up the two studio albums as bookends, throw in 2-13/14, 5-14/15, 6-7 & 9-19/20, how can you not agree this year is amazing?

If camp fire girls in the woods defend themselves during survival training and bar-b-que a woodland troll, does it make a sound?

oddly enough WT, i've pondered the same; and while true that your garden variety woodland troll does, without much provocation, grunt and growl in his woodland bower, and make other loud and raucous sounds when out in the woods proper, however, when skewered over a well-banked fire by a couple of camping lasses, the sound made is, at best, a moist pop; now if it were one of your less-common, urban trolls ...
